1. Who we are

SiteScope ("we", "us", "our") is a free online SEO audit tool available at sitescopeseo.com. We help website owners identify and fix SEO issues on their sites.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information when you use SiteScope:

• URLs you audit: When you enter a URL to audit, we process that URL to retrieve and analyze its HTML. We do not store or log the URLs you audit.
• Usage data: We collect anonymized information about how you use the site, including pages visited, features used, and time spent. This is collected via Google Analytics (GA4) and Vercel Analytics.
• Technical data: Browser type, device type, operating system, and general geographic location (country/city level) collected automatically by analytics tools.
• Cookies: Google Analytics places cookies on your device to distinguish users and measure usage. See section 4 for details.

We do not collect: names, email addresses, passwords, payment information, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly.

3. How we use your information

• To operate and improve the SEO audit tool
• To understand which features are most useful
• To measure the performance and reliability of the service
• To detect and prevent abuse

4. Cookies and tracking

SiteScope uses the following third-party services that may place cookies or collect data:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Measures traffic and user behavior. Collects anonymized data including pages viewed, session duration, and general location. Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Vercel Analytics: Collects anonymized pageview data to help us measure performance. No cookies are placed. Vercel Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense (may be activated in future): If we display advertisements, Google AdSense will use cookies including the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
• CORS proxies: When you audit a URL, we use third-party CORS proxy services (allorigins.win, codetabs.com, corsproxy.io) to fetch page HTML. These services process the URL you request. We do not control their data practices.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to outside parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data (such as total number of audits performed) publicly for promotional purposes. Analytics data is shared with Google and Vercel as described above.

6. Data retention

We do not store the URLs or audit results you generate — all processing happens in your browser. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (default: 14 months) and Vercel Analytics settings.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data
• Opt-out: Opt out of analytics tracking using browser tools or the Google opt-out add-on
• GDPR (EU/EEA users): You have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and portability
• KVKK (Turkey): Turkish users have rights under the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK)

8. Children's privacy

SiteScope is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SiteScope after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
